Charles Hoskinson has made a bold prediction. The founder of Input Output Global says Midnight.city will be the most used crypto application in the world by 2030.

He is not saying it casually. Thousands of beta testers are coming online soon to help shape the next version of the platform. Hoskinson posted on X that this is the largest and most meaningful focus group ever run in crypto.

The platform runs on the Midnight network, a privacy-first blockchain that went live on March 31, 2026. The network uses zero-knowledge proofs to let users prove facts about themselves without exposing personal data. Your transaction history stays private by default. You only share what you choose.

Hoskinson personally invested around $200 million into Midnight's development. The NIGHT token launched in December 2025 and reached near ubiquitous exchange listings, including Binance Spot and Kraken, with peak daily trading volume reportedly hitting $9 billion.

What makes Midnight.city different from the broader network is the experience layer. It is described as an agent-driven persistent environment, a world that runs on Midnight's infrastructure and gives users something to actually interact with. Not just a wallet. Not just a protocol. A place.

Development moves on two-week sprint cycles. That means the version users interact with today gets updated in two weeks. And again two weeks after that. Hoskinson says that cadence is how a new civilization gets built in months, not decades.

The beta feedback phase is where Midnight.city goes from a compelling demo to a product with real utility.
