BNB Smart Chain has a quiet infrastructure layer that most traders ignored until this week. BNB Attestation Service — the project behind the BAS token — has been building on-chain identity and verification rails for the BNB ecosystem since its contract went live in July 2025. Its protocol lets developers issue cryptographic attestations: verifiable statements about wallet history, identity, or behavior that live on-chain as composable data.

The product roadmap expanded in May 2026 when BAS launched Agent Passport, upgrading its core identity contract to support AI agents as first-class participants.
